Gayla 29th December 2007

I'm so glad to have been able to have shared my life with her. She taught me so much. As all of you who know me, know that I became a Hospice Nurse specifically for this purpose. There were many times through out the past six years which I wished that I was not an RN because I just knew too much. But in the end it seems to have served me well. I think that I will continue with Hospice so that others may go without pain and with dignity. My heart broke into a million pieces at 4:12 on December 24th when the last words that I spoke to her were "I love you. Go now and be with God." as I held her head in my arms and He took her Home. I kept my promise to her by having the honor of attending her death. I know that she felt no pain & that was what she asked of me.
